Today on our 2016 BMW X1 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1553. The tire set we're working with today is 225 50 R18.What I really like about these chains is that they're very easy to install thanks to our color coded connection points. They're also self tensioning, meaning we don't have to purchase any extra rubber adjusters to make sure that our chains stay snug against our tire. It's gonna be all contained right here.The chains are SAE class S certified. Meaning they're great for vehicles with low wheel-well clearance like our BMW X1.These chains have a diamond pattern which is gonna provide more coverage around your tire, rather than the ladder pattern. This is gonna give you better traction through rough conditions.The steel square lengths are gonna dig into the snow and ice and give your great traction through stops, starts, and turns.These chains have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour, and they come in a set of two with this nice carrying case for easy storage.The first thing you want to do is lay out your chains flat like this. more

Keep in mind that this is being used as tire size 255/55r18. The Titan Chain Tire Chains are cable-style tire chains that provide good traction in light snow and the rollers wrap around cables to provide cross chains. The ladder pattern of the chains assists with effective starts and stops and these chains are constructed of a low carbon steel construction making them strong and durable. These are SAE Class Se chains for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance and have a re-usable storage bag. These chains have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour and come in a quantity of two. They're quick and easy to install. We'll show how to do that now. I've gone ahead and laid out my chains just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the lines. more

Keep in mind that this is being used with tire size 245/45/R19. The Glacier cable snow tire chains are perfect for the occasional use and are constructed of a case hardened, low carbon steel with spring rollers that wrap around sturdy wire cross chains. These are SAE Class S rated for passenger vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. These chains are a low profile design to give an overall smooth ride and they meet the Department of Transportation requirements in all 50 states. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll share how to get these installed. I've gone ahead and laid them out just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the lines. We're going to be placing these on our rear tires because this is rear wheel drive vehicle. We'll start by taking our chains and just draping them over our tire, making sure that they sit evenly from front to back and side to side. more

Today on this 2008 BMW X5, we're going to show you a Glacier Cable snow tire chains; part number PW2029C For reference, we're working with tire size of 255x55x18. These are DOT compliant, and they are Class S chains to work with vehicles of limited clearance. They do also come with their own tote bags as well. These are a great set of chains to keep in the back of your vehicle to get yourself out of a jam in the winter time. One thing you need to know before you install snow chains on your vehicle, is always double check with the owners manual, there are some certain stipulations regarding snow chains on vehicles. We're actually going to use the front wheels on this for our demonstration, just to make things a little easier to see and test it. However, check with your owners manual, as safety you should use these on the back wheels. Also, they should be a low profile chain as well. It's a good idea to test the new chain before you actually need them in the ice and snow, like we're doing here. First off, get familiar with them, Make sure which side faces the tire and what side faces the ice and snow. This part here, where the hook comes over the top, should face the road. more

You want to notice that there is a direction to it as they are marked right or left-hand side. In this instance, were going to go ahead and put one on the left rear tire of our vehicle.You also want to make sure that the loops are the hooks that come across the center section faced outward, so they do not damage the tire. Once we have our tire chain lay down, well go ahead and drape it over the top of the tire. more

Today, on our 2005 BMW X3 were going to do a test fit of part number PW2029. The first thing well do, well go ahead and take the cables and lay them out on top of the tire. Now there are hooks on the side of the tire that go around the cables. We want make sure that those hooks are facing towards the outside or you want to see the end of the hooks facing to the outside. Well go ahead and drape them over the tire. Center them up as best we can and well tuck the end with the latch the forward side of the tire. more
